Erik Jäpelt
I am an architect educated at the Aarhus School of Architecture (1988) with more than 30 years of experience in retail architecture, concept development, and design implementation. I work at the intersection of strategy and execution, translating brand values into physical environments that create strong, coherent customer experiences.
I have collaborated with both Danish and international brands across a wide range of sectors—from luxury and lifestyle to culture and public institutions. As co-founder of two design practices, I bring extensive experience in leading complex design processes from early concept through realization, always with a strong focus on spatial quality, functionality, and aesthetics.
My approach is holistic and practice-driven, grounded in a deep understanding of brand identity, user behavior, and the commercial realities of retail and experience-based environments.
Background & Experience
Previously, I was co-founder and partner at Glahn & Jäpelt A/S, one of the leading retail design consultancies in Denmark, working with major national and international clients. Earlier in my career, I held senior design and design management roles in both Danish and international design studios.
